Tara Desiderio has been an educator for over twenty years & a school leader for fifteen of those years. She is passionate about her students/team & enjoys leading others through their strengths. Her passion for creating positive school culture & embracing a growth mindset is at the heart of all she does. She is extremely proud to be part of the Future Ready Schools advisory team working to break down barriers and close opportunity gaps for our students and communities. In addition, she sits on the board as an advisor for PASCD, helping to provide opportunities to help educators across Pennsylvania learn and grow together.

Tom serves as the Director of Innovation for Future Ready Schools, a project of the Alliance for Excellent Education. He has testified before the US Congress and has previously worked alongside that body and the US Senate, the White House, and the US Department of Education. Murray serves as a regular conference keynote and is the co-author of ASCD’s best-seller, Learning Transformed. His most recent best seller, Personal & Authentic was published in the fall of 2019. Session description

What separates "leaders" from those who lead? This session will help leaders connect their passion to their work, reflect on pandemic lessons learned, and keep equity front and center. Today's modern learners need future ready leaders who create a culture of innovation. You are part of the solution!

Purpose & objective

Participants will:
-Take part in various culture-building activities that they can replicate with their teams.
-Do some deep reflection as it pertains to their own leadership and lessons we've learned throughout and post-pandemic.
-Be able to utilize a variety of free, practical resources with their teams moving forward.
