ISTELive 27 hybrid event, with the face-to-face conference being held in Boston at the Thomas M. Menino Convention and Exhibition Center. Virtual attendees can experience content from around the world from their devices, along with sessions from the in-person conference streamed to the virtual platform.
In 2026, ISTE+ASCD became the International Society for Transforming Education, three years after the International Society for Technology in Education and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development merged. This new name signals the work the organization has already been undertaking while solidifying the future direction as one entity.
With this new name, what had been the “co-located” ISTE and ASCD annual conferences has now become ISTELive, the annual event of the International Society for Transforming Education. The event connects instructional strategy, educator practice, and purposeful technology use.
The event will feature engaging experiences and content from both previous events while also offering new focus areas and content related to today’s most critical education trends and challenges.
ISTELive 27 will offer varied content experiences, from hands-on interactive programming to listen-and-learn sessions to immersive demos in the expo hall, and some select in-person only content like playgrounds and posters. These formats cover a variety of topics spanning what’s new and innovative, what’s tried and tested, and what’s challenging in education right now. All recorded content will be made available within 24 hours of it happening.
