Hook & Welcome (2–3 min)
Greet participants with the big statement and underlying question on the poster:
“Agency grows when students connect who they are, the roles they play, and the purpose they pursue.”
Introduce the Self / Role / Calling → Stewardship diagram.
Engagement:
Quick think-pair-share: “Where do you see your students strongest right now—Self, Role, or Purpose?”
Attendees mark their answer with a colored sticky dot or sticky note directly on the poster.
Core Principles for Agency (5 min)
Share the two lists: mindsets for students and habits for teachers.
Emphasize Delayed Gratification and Generational Awareness as guiding lenses.
Engagement:
Attendees read the principles and choose ONE they want to strengthen in their own classroom.
They write this on a card/sticky note and place it under either “Student Mindsets” or “Teacher Habits” on the poster.
Classroom Applications (5–7 min)
Showcase concrete strategies for building agency:
Student-designed projects
Classroom leadership roles
Reflection journals (connecting self → role → purpose)
School-wide stewardship projects
Engagement Tactic:
Invite participants to add one strategy they’ve used (or want to try) on sticky notes to build a collaborative “Agency in Action” board.
Reflection & Stewardship Challenge (3–5 min)
Reinforce that agency is not just about choice, but about responsibility, belonging, and long-term impact.
Connect to stewardship: helping students see their role in shaping both the present and future community.
Engagement:
Ask attendees: “What’s one way you can model stewardship for your students next year?”
Capture answers on a digital Padlet/QR code board (so everyone leaves with a shared collection of ideas).
Wrap-Up & Takeaway (2 min)
Summarize key points: Self + Role + Purpose = Stewardship. Agency grows through alignment, compassion, and responsibility.
