This presentation is to help educators learn about the platforms their students are already using to incorporate them successfully into the classroom environment. Some educators have embraced social media while others fear it. This session is for those educators that are hesitant to provide them with information and resources to make the jump.
We will discuss the main platforms such as YouTube but will also discuss the school friendly platforms such as Flipgrid. The session will also talk about technology minimum needs to get started and some free editing options for those more tech-savvy classrooms.
5 Minutes: Introduction
20 Minutes: Discussion of different platforms that students are familiar with such as YouTube and TikTok.
15 Minutes: Introduction to Flipgrid and how to use it with students.
10 Minutes: Transferring finished products to a "class" public facing channel via YouTube or other platform.
10 Minutes: Q&A
