During the creation lab we will be demonstrating the use of The MasteryBook which is an online tool that supports communication of mastery learning. Participants will learn how to set up their MasteryBook, create standards aligned assignments, provide feedback, and how to tag learning to separate academic and behavioral information
During this session there will be a demonstration of the product. Participants will be encouraged to practice and play with The MasteryBook. Pacing will depend on the users. Each participant will need access to a computer to access the MasteryBook.

Constance Borro (Yale '08) is a veteran educator and educational support services provider with experience as a department chair, instructional coach, district-level professional learning provider, and educational consultant. She currently works as Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Mastery Portfolio, LLC, an EdTech and Educational Consulting company on a mission to inspire creativity and innovation by reimagining the assessment and feedback loop. Her work in schools promotes equitable and asset-based grading strategies and provides a suite of professional services and software tools to get it right. Starr Sackstein is a recovering perfectionist who is an assessment reforming enthusiast. Currently, she is the COO of Mastery Portfolio, an Ed tech Startup committed to helping schools move to Standard-Based assessment. Additionally, she works with teacher teams to engage students in the learning process, advocate for personal growth, and effectively use student data to drive instruction. She was a high school English and journalism teacher, a lead Humanities learner, and social media manager.
