Proposal summary

Purpose & objective

During this presentation, all attendees will learn how to use the free and amazing content creation tool called Wakelet. Presenters will give a thorough overview of how to use and access all of the features of Wakelet. Subsequently, a myriad of suggested uses and benefits for educators will be showcased. Attendees will learn ways that they as educators can harness the power of this awesome technology tool-no matter what level, subject, age, or specialty they teach! Additionally, attendees will learn ways to get their students using this technology creatively to curate content, evaluate the validity of resources, collaborate to build/create resources, and use this digital platform to share and communicate their ideas and collections.

As a result, she implements many applications available to teachers, helping augment their students’ learning, modernizing traditional classroom methods. Leticia dedicates her life to social justice, teaching through an equity lens, and providing intentional and engaging PD. She is co-founder of Equity In Action, CA and Tech.Teach.Grow, LLC. Leticia currently serves as an ambassador and trainer for varying digital tools including Nearpod, Wakelet, Newsela, and Flipgrid. She’s Google Certified and an MIE Expert.
