Professional development must evolve and it is up to all educational leaders to shift it. The purpose of this session is to provide leaders with the tools to make this shift to leader centered professional learning.
Objectives- Participants will:

- Assess the Climate and culture of their staff / organization
- Devise a plan to grow leadership with an individualized/learner centered focus

The entire session will be conducted on Jamboard so participants can continually share and discuss with each other and the presenters. This will also serve as a repository for resources and ideas.

Bonnie Chelette is the Senior Educational Technology Consultant for the Louisiana Department of Education. She is a Google for Education Certified Innovator, Trainer, & Coach, Google Educator Group Leader (GEG South Louisiana), co-founder of Global GEG, and leader of Global GEG's #ECOpen Chat. In addition, Bonnie is also an EdChange Global Leader and is passionate about supporting technology integration in schools. She shares her support and passion for coaching by bringing coaches together on a global scale.
Stephanie is an Education Innovation Leader for a K-12 District in Northern California, Google Innovator, Trainer, and Coach, co-founder of GlobalGEG, creator of CanWeTalkEDU, and author of numerous articles published on Edutopia and her own blog. Melissa Gomez Summerford has been in education for 16 years and has taught Pre-K, 2nd, 3rd, and Advanced Academics. Melissa is always looking for ways to innovate, improve her practices, and believes that it takes a team to build success. Melissa Gomez Summerford is Google Certified Trainer & Innovator and currently serves as a Lead Learning Guide at friEdTech. She is passionate about creating significant learning environments built on student choice and voice. Melissa believes that incorporating student voice and choice are the elements that lead to student ownership and engagement.
