Purpose & objective

Professional development must evolve and it is up to all educational leaders to shift it. The purpose of this session is to provide leaders with the tools to make this shift to leader centered professional learning.

Objectives- Participants will:
- Learn to impact and shift the role of a leader in professional learning to one that models the expectations of learners
- Assess the Climate and culture of their staff / organization
- Devise a plan to grow leadership with an individualized/learner centered focus
- Grow connection and collaboration
- Develop sustainable practices of meaningful gratitude

Content:-
-Introductions (5 min)
Support leaders in the new horizon of tech leadership (10 min)
- Top down leadership - leading by example (10 min)
- Harnessing social media to support your school and staff as well as connect with parents (10 min)
- Connecting with teachers (CanWeTalk) (10 min)
- Collaboration/Sharing of ideas (ongoing)
- Research and further reading (5 min)
- Q & A (10 min)

The entire session will be conducted on Jamboard so participants can continually share and discuss with each other and the presenters. This will also serve as a repository for resources and ideas.
