Participants will have access to published materials and templates from the presenters to show how as anyone can bring these activities into their learning environments.
The session is designed for all educators, focusing on how creative expression allows learners to identify, process and express emotions. This session focuses on the use of technology tools like iPad to promote SEL in the classroom.
Participants will be introduced to a series of creative prompts designed to engage with technology while promoting creative expression.
After a brief analysis and identifying skills learned, participants will explore additional ways to support SEL in the classroom.
The presentation takes about 30 minutes with 15 minutes of hands on exploration and creation, followed by 15 minutes of additional questions and/or conversation.
An iPad updated with the latest Keynote and ability to create Memoji is helpful for the session.

Erika Moser is an Elementary Music and Tech Integration Specialist at Chesterbrook Academy Elementary School in West Chester, Pennsylvania - an Apple Distinguished School. Erika has a passion for designing cross-disciplinary learning experiences that allow for both students and teachers to express themselves creatively. As an author and speaker she helps educators empower students to explore ways to engage with technology in a meaningful way. She is an Apple Distinguished Educator, Apple Teacher for (iPad, Mac & Swift Playgrounds) and Apple Learning Coach.
Mat is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Education at the University of South Wales. He leads on developing students skills in digital technology to enhance learning and teaching and is transforming how future teachers approach their approach to what education looks like.
