Proposal summary

Purpose & objective

We will explain to participants how we started the Microsoft Imagine Academy at the middle school level. Explain how having the academy set us on the path to becoming a Microsoft Showcase School and helped with our school's digital transformation.
We will answer any questions that participants may have about how we have been successful in this process, what it takes to get started, when we teach the class, etc.
We will also provide some show and tell of the curriculum that is used in the academy so that the participants will have a real understanding of what the students experience in the class and what it takes to earn the certifications in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
After attending the session, they will have a knowledge of what it takes to set up the class, what the curriculum looks like, what type of technology that we use to be successful and what it would be like to take a certification exam.
