Proposal summary

Purpose & objective

Participants will begin with discussion about the pros and cons of science fair and discuss challenges on inclusion and equity. I will present The Engineering Design Process and demonstrate how it can be used in non-science classrooms and why the cyclical process is important for student growth. I will then show the design challenged created by me that was school wide and the success it brought as well as how we incorporated other classes and involved the entire school without interrupting the school day for non-participants who were more enthused to participate the following year.
