Event Information
This interactive poster session will showcase how Micro:bits and AI Create can be used together to teach AI literacy through student data projects. Attendees will see live demonstrations of Micro:bits collecting sensor data and training simple AI models. Peer-to-peer discussion prompts and a collaborative idea wall will encourage reflection on classroom applications. Participants will leave with concrete project ideas, practical resources, and strategies to connect data, AI, and real-world problem-solving in grades 6–8 learning.
After this session, participants will be able to:
*Collect sensor data with Micro:bits and prepare it for use in AI Create.
*Train simple AI models with student-collected data and interpret the results.
*Design classroom projects that connect AI literacy to real-world issues relevant to K–8 learners.
*Discuss data bias, prediction accuracy, and ethical use of AI.
*Adapt project ideas to support equity, creativity, and cross-curricular connections in their own teaching contexts.
